Johnson Controls/Globe used to make them but I don’t know who does now. I’ve used the largest group battery Walmart sells for several years and they’re ok but not great. Yes, i know i could have went with lifepo lol i know batteries wear out, but if walmart is going to make up rules willy nilly to get out of honoring the warranty, then i am going to fight them over this. Long story short when i bought them i didnt know what would happen if the batteries wore out before the warranty time expired, but i didnt expect them to switch the rules around after buying them. I was respectful but told her i was told i would get two years out of these batteries and it was guaranteed for two years, and that i very carefully watched the voltage on these batteries every day. 1c and that i do not find what she is saying to be a satisfactory answer to my problem. She said i likely over charged them and destroyed them, i asked if you know what the max c-rating of the charge rate is and she didnt know what i was talking about, i said i told them i have more knowledge than most on this topic, and that i set the charge controllers to not charge more than. I also told them exactly what i was doing when i bought them and they said they would be perfect for my application. i told her most modern rv's have solar panels on them now days. then she rattled off a bunch of techno bumbo jumbo lies and made up words to tell me how solar applications is different than rv. They didnt even bother to test the other batteries because i use solar to charge them. The walmart auto center manager called me from her home on her day off to tell me they will only give me one battery that they apparently dropped and damaged and now the case is leaking. I dropped off 4 of the 16 batteries today to have them tested. Two of the batteries were completely flat I bought 16 batteries last year that all have a 2 year warranty, on average they are about 45% capacity using their rating of 1amp test

At that point, the line went dead as Marion was re-captured. Marion was able to pass on the information that she was sending him Oxley's letter so that he could enlist the help of Indiana Jones to translate it. Eventually, Mutt received a phone call from Marion, who claimed that both she and Ox had been kidnapped by Russian secret agents, and that she had managed to escape. Time went by without word from Mutt's mother. This worried Marion so much that she left for Peru, hoping to find Oxley and see if he was all right. His enthusiasm convinced Marion that her old pal was mentally ill, and this seemed to be confirmed when, some time later, Ox mailed a letter composed of incomprehensible symbols and drawings. In 1957, Mutt and Marion received contact from Oxley, who claimed to have found a crystal skull and was on his way to a place called " Akator" with it. He managed to either quit or be kicked out of every school he attended, which considerably annoyed his mother. This made Mutt bitter at being hindered from his one true love: motorcycles, which were also his profession as he fixed them. Particularly, fencing was one of Mutt's better subjects, but got kicked out from the class once it was discovered he was betting on the matches. Among the skills he (reluctantly) showed proficiency at were fencing, reading and mechanics. Īs he matured, Mutt was forced by his mother to attend multiple schools, in order to teach him the skills and knowledge that he would need the day he finally was alone in the world. Still a child when the event happened, Henry would grow to call himself "Mutt". Oxley, affectionately nicknamed "Ox" by his friends, became a surrogate father to Henry when Colin was unexpectedly killed during World War II. Therefore, the boy considered his last name to be "Williams." Īt an early age, Henry befriended Professor Harold Oxley, a former student (alongside Jones) at the University of Chicago, under Marion's father Abner Ravenwood. Growing up, Henry was led to believe that Williams was his biological father. Three months into her son's life, Marion began dating RAF pilot Colin Williams, and would soon marry the man as well. She named the boy Henry Jones III, after his unknowing father and paternal grandfather, a name that would not stay for long and would not be revealed to the child until years later. Marion eventually gave birth to a son without alerting Jones the child's existence. He left unaware that Ravenwood did not mind his being absent for extended periods, and, more importantly, did not realize that she was pregnant with his child. ĭecades later, in 1937, Jones and Marion Ravenwood were to wed but Jones disappeared from her life a week before the nuptials under the impression that he would make a poor husband due to the long periods of time he would spend away from home for his job. By the time he had returned to Princeton three years later, Stratemeyer had moved on and settled down by marrying Jones' high school rival Butch, giving him a son in the form of Butch junior. Jones went to fight in the Mexican Revolution then World War I just a month later. Mutt was killed in action in Vietnam and Jones' grief almost led to Marion leaving him until Helena Shaw managed to help bring him back in body and spirit.Ī boy named Henry Jones III had already been envisaged by Henry "Indiana" Jones, Jr.'s high-school girlfriend Nancy Stratemeyer in 1916 as being their first common child. However, a later conflict between Mutt and Indiana Jones led to the younger man enlisting in the army specifically to annoy his father. Following this adventure, during which he proved his fencing skills in a sword-duel with the Soviet Special Forces colonel Irina Spalko, he was present as his mother and father wed after years of separation. In 1957, Mutt accompanied his estranged parents, along with mentor Harold Oxley and George McHale on a quest to return a fabled Crystal Skull to Akator. He had at least one sibling through his father, a sister named Sophie. His stepfather was Colin Williams, who was killed during World War II. Henry "Mutt" Williams, born Henry Walton Jones III, was the illegitimate son of Marion Ravenwood and Indiana Jones. While you can get some 10 rounds of lightning damage out of Witch Bolt, it can only be directed at a single creature. Then there’s the limitation of the spell’s target. Not to mention the target can end the spell by moving out of that range, greatly limiting where and when the caster can (or must) move to keep the spell going. The 30-foot range of Witch Bolt is far enough to keep the caster out of melee, just barely.īut it’s fairly short as ranged spells go, and a number of other options give the caster the freedom to strike targets even further away. With that being focused at a single target, Witch Bolt is a great way for a caster to take down a meatier opponent on the other side while staying at a relatively safe distance. Witch Bolt does a truly impressive amount of damage for a 1 st level spell – 1d12 for up to 10 rounds. The following round damage remains only at 1d12, whether the initial attack roll was a critical or not. Note that, while Witch Bolt can crit just like other “attack roll” spells, the critical only applies to the initial round. The Eldritch Knight and Arcane Trickster subclasses have access to it at 3 rd level, and bards have access to it at 10 th level via the Magical Secrets ability (or 6 th level for the College of Lore). Witch Bolt appears as a 1 st level spell on the Sorcerer, Warlock, and Wizard lists. If the caster uses a spell slot higher than 1 st level, the damage on the initial round (only) is increased by 1d12 for each level above 1 st. On the initial round, it deals 1d12 lightning damage on a successful spell attack roll.Įach round thereafter, so long as the caster maintains concentration and the target stays within range and not behind full cover, the caster can use their action to deal an additional 1d12. Witch Bolt causes a flickering blue bolt of energy to shoot from the cast to an enemy within range. What is Witch Bolt?īelow are the essential stats for Witch Bolt:Ĭomponents: V, S, M (a twig from a lightning-struck tree) For those starting spellcasters that need to make every spell count, this is a deep dive into a promising option from 5E D&D – Witch Bolt. Choosing wisely on what spells to prepare – and exactly when and how to use them – is a vital skill for every newbie that deals in magic.Īnd with that in mind, let’s take a look at one 1 st level spell that pops up on the list of not one, but three magic-wielding classes. For the low-level spellcaster, the choice of spells in your arsenal can be the difference between life and death. Here’s a simple guide to break down one of the world’s longest-running conflicts: What was the Balfour Declaration? The majority of transmitters in the UK are horizontally polarised, but the best thing to do is take a look at the rooftop aerials in your neighbourhood to see how they're aligned. This is often just a simple process of rotating the aerial. Some aerials are 'omnidirectional', meaning they don't need to be angled, but most will need to be polarised either horizontally or vertically. If you don't do this, you could still see a fuzzy, distorted picture. Indoor aerials come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but the key thing to consider is how you'll need to angle or 'polarise' yours to match the local transmitter that's beaming the Freeview TV signal to your home. You may live in a block of flats without aerial access, or maybe you're already using the aerial connection for another television in your home. The best TV signal will always be achieved with a rooftop aerial but that's not always an option. However, even after the completion of the digital TV switchover boosted Freeview coverage in the UK to 98.5%, some people still struggle to get good reception in their home. To check available signals where you live, use the FCC's DTV reception maps. How could an indoor aerial help you get better TV reception?Īll new TVs have a Freeview and Freeview HD tuner, meaning you can watch a wide range of SD (standard definition) and HD (high definition) television channels without needing a subscription or additional equipment - apart from an aerial of course. Check with the TV station to find out whether they are planning changes that will improve reception. If you are not receiving certain DTV stations, this does not necessarily mean there is a problem with your antenna or receiver. If you are near a station's broadcast tower, reception of that station, as well as other stations, can be impeded by strong signal "overload." If you suspect this to be the case, you may want to remove any signal amplifiers you may have or try to install an "attenuator" to reduce the amount of signal coming to your converter box or DTV.For outdoor antennas, a rotor that re-orients the antenna can improve performance, particularly when trying to receive stations that transmit from different locations. Remember to do another channel scan after you have adjusted your antenna. The signal strength meter is usually accessed through the menu feature on your remote control consult the owner's manual of your device for detailed instructions on how to access it. While adjusting your antenna, it may be helpful to access the "signal strength meter" on your digital-to-analog converter box or DTV, if it has one, to determine whether your adjustments are improving the signals' strength. For example, moving it away from other objects or placing it higher or lower can often improve reception. Be sure to move the antenna slowly to allow time for the signal received by the digital TV tuner to be displayed. DTV reception can often be improved just by changing the location of your current antenna, even as little as a few inches. Antennas typically need to be oriented or "aimed" to get the best signal from the desired station.Digital-to-analog converter boxes do not contain additional antennas or signal amplification. Check with retail consultants and consumer websites to make sure that any antenna you choose provides good reception of both VHF and UHF channels.Įven if you use a digital-to-analog converter box, you will still need to use an antenna to receive DTV signals. Many of the antennas being sold as "HDTV Antennas" perform best at receiving UHF signals, but perform less well receiving VHF channels. For example, indoor "rabbit ears" usually need to be augmented with an additional "wire loop" or "bowtie" antenna (see images in next tab) in order to pick up signals on UHF channels. Some antennas only provide good reception of VHF or UHF channels, but not both. To receive DTV signals from all stations in the area, your antenna needs to be able to receive both VHF channels (channels 2-13) and UHF channels (channels 14-36). Almost all of the TV stations affected finished transitioning in July 2020.) ( Note: An auction of spectrum that had been licensed to broadcast television stations operating on UHF TV Channels 38-51 resulted in many TV stations on these channels transitioning to other channels. Well, I heard something banging so I shot up quickly. I expected to, at the worst, knock myself out. I then layed the rag over my face and just inhaled and exhaled repetitively. Well I poured a 'bowlpack' (personal slang) and layed on the lid of the well with my feet and head hanging over the edges. On this day, I had a particularily dirty mix of ether, I've never seen it such a dark color, EVER. I have a concrete well outside my house that was my 'place of zen' for ether abuse. The effects began to wither away from there old selves quite abruptly, though, and finally one day I did something very stupid. had stacked upon me and I began relying on my old cure too much.įor the first couple of months I did it everyday, a can or two would do for a day. Family health problems, finances, woman troubles, etc. Now I should mention I have severe depression and anxiety before I continue. I'd soon learn to regret this knowledge.Ībout six months into 2006 I hit a stressful time. So it made me confident and helped overcome hard times. It also helped me get over shyness, when I'd that out of it, you don't really worry about being embarassed or anything. It would make me delirious to my problems so that when I came down enough time had passed that I could deal with it naturally. I'd do it mainly when I was extremely upset/depressed. Now for the first couple of years or so it was a fun little drug every now and then. I'm detailing this just to show my experience with it, I did it so much I had a complete technique in doing it. I also never 'sniffed' it, I'd 'kiss the rag' as I liked to say and inhale orally. All this does is stop me from rubbing ether on my face, an important step when addiction is in the equation. Put a bandana over it, and inhale through the bandana. I'd also fold a shirt into a perfect square, pour ether on it, fold it across and squeeze it for a sec so the ether soaks evenly into the shirt. Open the top, pour the solvent, and it's there. The ether is basically clear, the other is a nasty white liquid. Turn the bottle upside down with the cap closed, and the ether and solvents then seperate. I took a Gatorade squirt bottle, sprayed starting fluid in it (preferably Snap brand, second Prestone), poured the rest with water. Quickly I mastered the method by doing the following. I began doing ether in 2003 or so using the water extraction method. I apologize for the length, but you'll find it's all relevant to the experience at hand. I noticed that there are lots of reports of 'ether binges' a la' Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, but not a true addiction story.
